Your Regional Director represents you, the Region and TICA. Respect and an openness for our TICA "Family" is imperative. This goes outside the Board Room and into all other activities engaged in. Respect for you, our TICA members, our TICA Corporate family and lastly for the Association in which we have been elected to represent. For me, this is a cornerstone as the show hall encompasses a small amount of our overall fancy.
Our Board has had to cover a lot over the last year or so and have made difficult decisions. Due to Board effort, great strides have been taken, new systems and strategies including the purchase of TOES!
As a Regional Director, again, this is only one of the hats worn. Knowing products we offer, EO processes, our Corporate Sponsor family, Marketing/Events, various show functions (and able to do them) and much more is needed to fill various 'hats' that may ask to be worn.
Regardless of my contact with you and our cat community, rest assured it will be done with a sense of responsibility and dependability, integrity, encouragement and a helping hand. Whether you are a new club, a first time cat show visitor, or a seasoned show veteran, I am here to listen, find answers and treat with a genuine interest.
As a previous Regional Director, I still maintain a keen interest in TICA and how we, as an Association, are being operated and presented. As such, I try to maintain the professionalism and acumen in all of my dealings. I still read the Meeting Agendas, listen in and then follow up with the meeting minutes afterwards.
I continue to be vested overall in TICA under various "hats"-not purely as an exhibitor, Judge, member, visitor or part of a show producing club.
I have been overwhelmingly thankful to have participated in many events as a TICA representative-whether at AAFP conferences, Meet the Breeds, Pet Expos and more----I have highlighted some of my experiences in the "About Me" page.
